On 13.3.19, the first cross-industry Energy Efficiency Network E.E.f.I was founded on the initiative and as a network carrier of the VSU Association of Saarland Business Associations. The network participants Homanit, HYDAC International, Saarbrücker Zeitung, VOIT Automotive and ZF Friedrichshafen want to develop and implement measures to increase energy efficiency and save energy for 3 years in a joint exchange of knowledge. In this way, they make a contribution both to securing the location (energy costs represent a considerable cost block) and to climate protection and achieving Germany’s climate policy goals. In doing so, they also underline their claim to act sustainably: an aspect that is increasingly regarded as relevant by citizens, business partners and the young professionals sought-after on the labour market. Christoph Langehenke (CTO VOIT Automotive would like to thank State Secretary Jürgen Barke, Antje Otto (Saarhütten/VSU), the moderator of the project Silvia Goergen, Dr. Hermann Becker (Head of ZF Saarbrücken) and all network participants present for their joint commitment in the future.

We thank you very much for the visit on 17.01.19 of our Saarland Prime Minister Tobias Hans. In a pleasant atmosphere, the topics revolved around the challenges for Saarland companies in the times of Brexit, opportunities in the Greater Region, digitisation and better networking between research and SMEs. A planned Innovation Center is to provide Saarland companies with significantly better access to university knowledge in the future and thus create innovation and economic benefits for both sides. During a concluding tour of the plant, our guest was able to learn about new automotive components for autonomous driving and e-mobility as well as their sophisticated manufacturing processes.

After having the best trainee on national level in 2017, we managed to achieve unprecedented success in training in 2018.

On Tuesday 13.11.2018, in a celebration to honour the best trainees which was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the E-Werk in Saarbrücken, Yannic Braun was honoured as a tool mechanic and Joshua Dietrich as a foundry mechanic for their excellent performance and as best trainees on regional level.

In addition, VOIT Automotive received a certificate of honour for the training occupation of Tool Mechanic and Foundry Mechanic for 2017/2018.

The attention of the premier of the Saarland region, Tobias Hans, was also drawn to this success and he is visiting the company VOIT in St Ingbert on 17th January. We are very much looking forward to Mr Hans’ visit!

We are committed to getting to know motivated young people and future companions and inspiring them and welcoming them to join us. It is a social task for us to give young people an intriguing insight into industry and orientation for their choice of occupation. Thus on 27th September, in the evening, 100 guests including school pupils, students, professors, interested parties and Arab participants of a Caritas funding project, had the opportunity to take an intense look at our mystically illuminated production area and, in the event zone, they were able to ask questions of our management and our trainees.

This event is also motivating for our employees and shows they are appreciated when light is shed on their workplace and they have the opportunity to show their performance. The stars of the evening were our trainees, however, who, at the many information stations of their own design, presented our production processes and their training occupation confidently, charmingly, with enthusiasm and at eye level with our young guests. The Long Night of Industry is an important event and gives us the chance to present VOIT as an attractive employer and to engage in conversation with participants in a fantastic atmosphere. Because one thing is clear: the mobility of the future will be exciting and VOIT is already right in the midst of it.

Around 830 participants took part in the LNDI Saarland this year and visited 16 companies. You can find further information on LNDI here!

The long night of industry starts in:

Awakening enthusiasm for technology in young people in a unique event at night: That’s what VOIT Automotive is offering …

… around 100 out of 800 school pupils and students, once again, during the LNDI – Long Night of Industry – on 27th September 2018. Anyone who as always wanted to see where and how components for the cars which are in greatest demand worldwide are manufactured and who would also perhaps like to follow this career path, is in the right place here. The event is supported by the Saarland Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Metal and Electrical Industry in the Saarland.

After the huge response we had for our last event, we are looking forward to receiving a large number of visitors!
