St. Ingbert Solidariy Run

Donation purpose:

The motto for 2017 is “We are running for a new house and setting bright spots for children with cancer in Saarland”. With the 12th Solilauf, the community of St. Pirmin and St. Michael in St. Ingbert is supporting the parents’ initiative of children with cancer, which together with the Saar-Pfalz Children’s Cancer Foundation wants to build a barrier-free multifunctional house for the child and youth in the immediate vicinity of the Homburg children’s clinic. After diagnosis, the families find themselves in a state of mental emergency and therefore need an opportunity to withdraw from everyday medical life as an important part of the children’s recovery process. During the acute therapy, offers such as social and nutritional counselling, acupuncture, etc. are to take place there. After the long-term therapy, follow-up groups will take place there. The house of the child and the youth will also be a meeting place for orphaned families. The previous premises are unfortunately very cramped.
