Mould and Tool Construction

The tool construction department has been one of the foundations of VOIT’s success since the company was founded and a high concentration of material and process expertise is bundled here. It is not without reason that this division has a workforce of over 100 employees at the St. Ingbert location alone. A significant portion of the process expertise and process stability are defined by the tools. For this reason, the conception and manufacture of decisive components in a casting or stamping tool are carried out by our own tool construction department.

Mould and tool construction is a key technology. The know-how of the VOIT mould construction specialists and use of state-of-the-art software guarantees moulds to achieve the best casting and surface quality. Preliminary processing and finishing of the finest contours are ensured by the application of HSC technology (High Speed Cutting). The services performed by the mould and tool construction department start with the specific customer requirements through simulation, calculation of the gating system, mould manufacture and sampling right up to deburring.

The mould and tool construction for the divisions of die casting and stamping in St. Ingbert represents the competence centre for tool construction of the VOIT corporate group which works across all companies within the group for all sites. At all locations, there is also an independent tool maintenance department in order to ensure production with a reliable process and consistent product quality.
